@ Candor Fire Hall, 74 Owego Road, Candor, New York 13743

Do you own rural land and wonder what it could be used for? Have you considered leasing to a farmer or solar company…or both? Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County will host a workshop & discussion on this topic. Find out whether your land would be suitable for farming or solar production, learn about taxes & regulations, how to find a tenant, and terms & conditions to include in a lease.

Speakers are: Monika Roth from CCE-Tompkins and Finger Lakes Land Link [http://www.fingerlakeslandlink.org/], a farmer-landowner matching service; Jon McNamara from Renovus Solar, a locally owned solar company; and Caleb Scott from Scott Land & Yard Services, Inc., a locally owned landscaping firm that grazes sheep underneath solar panels at several locations in the region.

RSVP: So we can prepare handouts, please RSVP by November 9th to 607-687-4020. The workshop will cost $5 at the door.
