TO: 4-H Programs Interested in Attending 4-H Teen Winter Weekend


Date :February 15, 16, and 17, 2019 (2/15/19: 6-8pm, Arrival/Registration/Snacks)

Pick up time is 11:30 am Sunday, we need to make way for incoming groups

Where: Oswegatchie Educational Center, Croghan, NY (Lewis County)

Who: New York State 4-H’ers ages 13 to 19 (as of January 1)

Cost: $75.00 per participant will cover lodging, meals (Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch), as well as snacks and workshop supplies.

The registration charges for chaperones will be the same as the charges for youth, which is $75.00.

Refund Policy: Cancellations will be accepted and receive full refund until Friday, January 18, 2019.No refunds will be given to no-shows.Refunds due to weather will be negotiated after the event.

Medical Consent Form: Each county should use their own consent form & chaperone should have them in their possession.

The theme:  Fiesta in February!

Program: Programming for 2019 includes:

Winter Games    Snowshoeing       Team Building       Cross Country Skiing

        Ice Breakers    Indoor Hands on Workshops

Lewis County Teen Ambassadors are working on the planning of the program and workshops.

What YOU can do:


Volunteers are needed to facilitate and implement any of the program ideas above or one generated by the volunteer (workshops).

Volunteers/chaperones are required to help with meals and supervise kitchen clean-up.

Chaperones & Participants should bring:

    Bedding    Toiletries & towel    Outdoor Clothing (including boots/mittens or gloves)

    Slippers    Sleepwear    Change of Clothing

     Cross Country Skis and Snowshoes (Provided for the weekend or you may bring your own)
