  • Developing educational opportunities and volunteer programs that promote the responsible use and conservation of the county’s natural resources and green spaces.

Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment

CCE Chemung works with community partners to address environmental and conservation issues that are important to Chemung County communities and residents.

Hazardous Waste, Recycling and Composting

CCE Chemung provides education to enhance the County’s waste reduction, reuse, and recycling program. Programs include Youth Recycling Education, General Public Outreach, Industry and Small Business Outreach, and educational support for Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Electronics Waste Recycling. We help the community address industrial, residential, and organic waste paths, primarily focusing on residential waste and organics.
