A Matter of Balance
An 8-week evidence-based Fall Prevention series for older adults. Participants learn how to switch negative thinking patterns, address safety concerns, strengthen balance, and stay active. CCE Chemung trains volunteers to facilitate workshops in their communities. Series' are offered twice per year.
Clear the Clutter
This 4-session series explores the concept of clutter in the home environment. Participants learn about their personal organizational preferences, explore emotions associated with objects, develop clutter-reducing habits, and create a personal plan to address their own clutter. This series is offered twice per year.
Chemung Volunteer Action Corps
Bone Builders
A volunteer-led senior exercise program based on The StrongWomen® Program 2005 designed to strengthen bone-density, balance and mobility.
In-person and virtual groups are available.
New participants must be enrolled before attending a session.

CVAC Sewers & Knitters
A group of casual volunteers who create handmade items from home to support local organizations. Current projects require basic sewing, knitting, or crochet skills. Gatherings are held in the spring and fall for group members to explore new projects, swap skills and materials, and connect with each other.
