Veggie Variety Trial at the Chemung County Fairgrounds

CCE Chemung is cultivating a vegetable demonstration garden at the Chemung County Fairgrounds! Master Gardener Volunteers have planted vegetable varieties and the garden features a demonstration of features of an ecological garden (cover crops, companion planting, mulching, attracting beneficials, etc). The theme of this year's garden is 'Cultural Roots of the African Diaspora'.

Please visit us at the small shed at Gate 3 at the Chemung County Fairgrounds, 170 Fairview Rd, Horseheads, NY. While you're there, stop by the Soil and Water Conservation District building to check out the pollinator garden.

The garden is available for visitation during fairground hours, dawn to dusk.  Please DO NOT pick the vegetables, as we will need to measure/weigh our crop for research purposes.
