This 3-day training prepares new Master Food Preserver volunteers to provide community based education about safe home food preservation methods with CCE Chemung. Participants are expected to complete post course practice to receive certification and to serve the program with a minimum of 20 colunteer hours within the first year after the training. Topics include: Food Safety, Canning, Dehydrating, Jellies and Jams, and more. A comprehensive manual and lunch/snacks for all 3 days is included in the registration fee. Registration and payment must be received by May 23.
