Chemung County Cornell Cooperative Extension and the NY State Parks F.O.R.C.E.S. Program are hosting a fall themed experience for families, school groups, and anyone interested in learning more about our region's natural resources!
The morning aquatic focused session will 3 stations - fisheries techniques, invertebrates/water quality, and easy access rod and reel angling (great for younger students), a byo lunch at the Waverly Glen Park Pavillion with some fall related activity and outreach (to be determined), and an afternoon bioblitz where we will break into groups and document as many plants and animals as we can in an hour.
Participants will get a little training/background information for each session and each station and have a chance to connect the concepts with careers through participating organizations.
