Positive Youth Development

Welcome to 4-H in Chemung County!  4-H programs are offered in a wide variety of formats and places in order to meet the interests and needs of the diverse families who live in our rural and urban communities. Explore our pages and then give us a call - we welcome youth aged 5 to 19 and adult volunteers to our programs! 4-H has something for everyone!

Ready to Enroll?

Here are some steps to get you started.

Step 1: Contact 4-H Staff and Volunteers to find the right club for you. Many of our clubs meet at the Chemung County Fairgrounds while others meet in the community their volunteers live.

Step 2: Enroll online at v2.4honline.com 

Step 3: Fill out and hand in paper forms. These can be found on the left of this screen. 

Step 4: Pay Dues of $25 per youth or $50 per family, or fundraise your dues! Please let us know if you need dues assistance.

Step 5: Attend meetings, stay engaged and enjoy your 4-H experience!

Dear Families,

Welcome to the Chemung County 4-H Program. We appreciate that you have chosen to become involved in a program that creates close bonds between members, their families, and leaders. As a member of the 4-H family, you will have an opportunity to meet new people, try new things, learn leadership, citizenship, and build life skills.

Chemung County 4-H has many amazing volunteers helping to make the 4-H program a success. However, your involvement in the 4-H program and 4-H projects is critical to your child’s success. Families help youth establish goals, work toward those goals, develop a sense of achievement and communicate effectively about what they have done. You do make a difference and we are glad to have you in our program.
